Art Workshop - How to Analyze a Work of Art

Journey into a Portuguese Work of Art

Learn to look at a work of art

This interactive workshop explores how artists use composition, colour, form and materials to express ideas. We discuss Portuguese and international works through questions such as:

  • How does a Cubist artist approach different viewpoints?
  • How can we explore the imagery and creative process of a Surrealist work?
  • How do light, colour and contours contribute to an Impressionist painting?
  • How do artistic choices influence our interpretation?

Bring your curiosity and discover new ways to observe, discuss and interpret art.
