Objectives of This Painting Workshop
NBy the end of this workshop, participants will have a solid understanding of the basics of acrylic painting and the materials involved.
They will learn how to construct a painting in a structured manner, enabling them to start painting on their own!
The Cubist Perspective
A Cubist painter seeks to represent objects in three dimensions on a flat surface using geometric shapes, predominantly straight lines.
Rather than depicting exact representations, Cubism suggests the structure of bodies or objects, presenting them as if they were in motion, seen from all angles—above, below, and from the sides—revealing all planes and volumes.
In practice, this technique is incredibly useful when sketching! But there are other secrets in Picasso's Cubist technique—come discover them!
Acrylic painting is an excellent choice for beginners, as it requires less expertise compared to oil painting. Acrylics have a less intense odor and dry quickly (through evaporation), offering several advantages for those starting their painting journey.
