A Personalized Painting Course!
The watercolor painting classes are fully personalized to respect each individual's development pace and goals, which is why the classes are suitable for all levels of experience in watercolor painting.
Our watercolor painting courses have been developed into three levels—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced—with the aim of supporting each student's development.
Fees and materials
- €85 per month for one session per week.
- €145 per month for two sessions per week.
- Registration fee: €125.
The €125 registration fee includes the materials for the watercolour course.
Watercolour course programme
The course is organised into three levels.
Beginner
Duration: 8 lessons
Objectives
- Understand the characteristics of materials and various watercolour painting techniques.
- Experiment with the watercolour technique that relies on the purity of white, the softness of color, and the magic of transparency.
- Learn how to purchase the most suitable watercolour painting materials.
- Start painting independently in watercolour!
What you will work on
- Explore subjects such as still life and landscapes.
- Develop objective observation skills to represent objects, live models, and photographic images pictorially.
- At this level, students will not need to acquire any materials.
Intermediate
Duration: 24 lessons
Objectives
- Understand the critical success factors in creating a watercolour painting.
- Deepen knowledge on executing landscapes.
- Acquire classic concepts of proportion, space, and volume.
- Structure a theme from framing and sketching to finalization.
- Develop critical thinking in analysing a painting.
What you will work on
- Create an original painting (from life or based on various references).
- Gain the necessary knowledge to paint rural and urban landscapes.
- Execute a landscape in a structured manner (perspective, light, movement, depth, etc.).
Advanced
Duration: Ask the atelier
Objectives
- Learn to create watercolour paintings that express your subjectivity and perception of the world.
- Know how to analyse and critique a work of art.
- Understand the critical success factors in creating a watercolour painting.
- Develop your own style.
- Start exhibiting your work!
What you will work on
- Choose your preferred technique and theme.
- Structure a theme from framing and sketching to finalization.
- Opportunity to participate in group exhibitions!
You will be placed in the level best suited to your experience. The number of classes shown is a guide and may vary according to the needs of each painting.
