Outdoor Painting Workshop

Impressionist Style / Modern Style

Origin of the Initiative

One of the goals of the Atelier International de Belas Artes is to promote Portuguese art as well as provide unique experiences for its students!

In this regard, painting outdoors stands out as a fantastic experience!

Since 2015, we were at Largo do Carmo painting the Carmo Fountain, and in 2016, we were at the Ajuda Botanical Garden... Where will we be in this year?

A Unique Perspective on the Landscape

When we paint from a photograph, we are limited by the image captured by the camera! But outdoors, we are free to frame and find a unique perspective!

It was in light of this unique opportunity that the Atelier International de Belas Artes prepared this workshop!

Acrylic Painting Technique

One of the main differences between acrylic and oil painting techniques is their drying time. Oil dries through oxidation, while acrylic dries through evaporation. In this workshop, we will use the quick evaporation of water in acrylic to our advantage!

Outdoor Painting Workshop

Light, movement, loose brushstrokes, and the chromatic reflections of nature! In this style of painting, where the Sun is the master, it only makes sense that the outdoors be our studio!

Customized Painting Workshop

With a maximum of four participants, the guidance is continuous, always allowing for assistance in overcoming obstacles and clarifying any doubts!

Comments from Some Participants of This Painting Workshop

"Simply sublime, the way the essence of painting itself was conveyed, in form and content. 'The theme couldn't be better' (The Carmo Fountain), one of the highlights of Lisbon, which I love passionately."

A big thank you to the Plastic Artist Carruço, who helped me see acrylic painting in a very interesting way. Judging by his exhibited works, they are beautifully done paintings.

A big hug of light and thanks, and may the brilliance never fade from your inspiration. Thank you for being who you are!
