Oil Painting Workshop – Still Life
Realistic / Classical Style

Example of Painting to be Developed in This Workshop!
“Still Life” by Luis Meléndez, 1772
Origin of the Initiative
Oil Painting Workshop developed for those who want to learn how to paint with oil. The workshop will cover the basic techniques of oil painting, including: choosing and preparing the canvas, characteristics of oil paints, and the process of creating an oil painting.
Objectives of this Painting Workshop
The goal is for participants to have a solid understanding of the basics of oil painting and its materials by the end of the workshop. Participants will learn how to build an oil painting in a structured way, allowing them to start painting with oil on their own!
Realistic Oil Painting
The technique of realistic oil painting is very old, dating back to artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt. The process of construction (particularly layering) has changed little since then, although each artist has developed their own style.
In this painting workshop, we will explore the classic process of creating a realistic painting as executed during the Renaissance, with the addition of some modern tricks and shortcuts..
Oil Painting Technique
Oil painting is the reference technique in painting! It is a very versatile method and probably the best suited for realistic painting. However, it requires more knowledge than other painting techniques (such as acrylics).
One of the characteristics of oil paint is its slow drying time (oxidation), which can translate into several advantages in the process of creating a realistic painting.
Personalized Painting Workshop
The maximum number of participants for this workshop is ten, ensuring continuous and personalized guidance.
